FriendPoll ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using our mobile app and website.
1. Information We Collect
a. No Account, No Personal Identifiers
FriendPoll does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or profile photo.
b. Poll Content
To provide the core functionality, we store poll data you create or participate in (e.g., poll questions, options, votes, and the short code/QR identifier). This data is stored so polls can be shared and results displayed. We do not associate this data with a personal profile.
c. Usage Data (Analytics)
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics, such as:
- App screen views and session length
- Device information (OS version, model)
- Crash and performance data (if enabled)
d. Advertising Data
We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect:
- Device Advertising ID
- Approximate location
- Usage patterns for ad delivery and (if enabled) personalization

2. How We Use Your Information
We use data to:
- Operate and display polls (questions, options, votes, and results)
- Analyze app usage and improve reliability via Firebase Analytics
- Serve ads through AdMob (personalized or non-personalized per your settings)
- Improve features and overall app experience
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We share data only with:
- Google services we use (Firebase Analytics and AdMob) — see the Google Privacy Policy
- Our service providers necessary to run and maintain the app infrastructure
4. Security
We use encrypted HTTPS connections and secure cloud storage practices to protect data in transit and at rest.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- Limit or reset your device’s Advertising ID in your device settings
- Control ad personalization via Google Ad Settings
- Limit analytics collection in your device settings (where supported)
- Request deletion of poll data you control by emailing [email protected] with the poll code and details
6. Children’s Privacy
FriendPoll is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Data Retention
Poll data may be retained while the poll remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter to support app functionality, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. We may remove inactive polls periodically.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we’ll revise the "Last Updated" date and, if appropriate, notify you in-app.
